We get it—sometimes a board isn’t the right fit, or gear doesn’t meet your expectations. At Almond Surfboards, we believe in making things right with the same transparency and respect we put into every surfboard we shape. Whether you need to exchange for a different size or return an item, our crew is here to help you get exactly what you need for your surf journey.
What Can Be Returned or Exchanged?
Most items in our shop are eligible for return or exchange within 15 days, provided they are in original, unused condition with all tags and packaging intact.

- New surfboards from our Surfboards and Surfboards In Stock collections
- T-Shirts, Hats, and Women’s apparel
- Accessories & Gifts (non-personalized)
- Fins & Surf Accessories
- Surf Books and Wall Art
❌ Non-Returnable Items (Based on Menu & Site Analysis):
- Used Boards – These are sold as-is, reflecting their unique history and condition.
- Custom or personalized items – Including custom surfboards or personalized wall art.
- Surfboard Collaborations – Limited-run collaborative boards are often final sale due to their exclusive nature.
- Clearance or final sale items – These will be clearly marked at purchase.
- Gift cards – These are non-refundable but never expire.
Why these exceptions? Like a board shaped for a specific wave, these items are unique, personalized, or sold under special conditions that make returns impractical.
Step-by-Step Return & Exchange Process
- Contact Our Crew – Email us at [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order. Include your order number and reason for return/exchange.
- Receive Instructions – We’ll reply within 24–48 hours with a Return Authorization (RA) number and shipping instructions.
- Pack Your Item – Securely pack the item in its original packaging with all accessories, tags, and documentation. Include the RA number inside the package.
- Ship It Back – Send the package to our shaping bay address (provided in the instructions). We recommend using a trackable shipping service.
- We Process & Notify You – Once we receive and inspect the item (typically 3–5 business days after arrival), we’ll notify you via email and proceed with your refund or exchange.

Refunds: Timing & Method
Once your return is approved and processed, here’s what happens:
⏰ Timing:
- Refunds are issued within 5–7 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.
- Please allow additional time for the refund to appear in your account (depending on your bank or payment provider).
đź’ł Refund Method:
- Credit/Debit Card (Visa, MasterCard, JCB): Refunds are issued back to the original card used for purchase.
- PayPal: Refunds are issued to your PayPal account.
- Store Credit: If you prefer, we can issue store credit for future purchases—just let us know.
Exchanges
Want a different size, color, or product? Exchanges follow the same process as returns. Once we receive your returned item, we’ll ship the replacement using your preferred shipping method (Standard or Free Shipping).
Quick exchanges: If you need the replacement urgently, you can place a new order and we’ll refund the original once the return is received. Contact us to coordinate this option.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the product and packaging. We’ll arrange a prepaid return label and expedite a replacement or refund—no hassle.
